Art of the Plains 2010

The University of Nebraska's Great Plains Art Museum will host the the American Plains Artists' 26th annual juried exhibit and sale. The awards juror is Allan J. Duerr, CEO and Co-Publisher for Art of the West magazine. A seminar by Mr. Duerr, "Art Doesn't Just Happen" will be given on Oct. 2, 10 a.m.

Cottonwood Art Festival
Location: Richardson, Texas

The Cottonwood Art Festival is a biannual event which features works from the nations' top artist. It is located in the scenic Cottonwood Park in Richardson ,between Dallas and Plano. This prestigious art show is now entering 41 years. This year over 800 artists submitted their work for consideration with jurors selecting approx. 240 artists to exhibit their museum quality work for the fall show. www.cottonwoodartfestival.com

Bayou City Art Festival Downtown 2010
Location: Downtown Houston

The downtown skyline serves as a dramatic backdrop for art, music, dance and interactive activities. The annual, juried fine art event boasts a stress-free outdoor gallery brimming with 300 artists working in 19 artistic media. Adding to the festivities are wine cafes, the interactive Capital One Creative Zone for children, restaurants, and a performing arts stage with on-going multicultural musical and dance entertainment.
